KAMPALA, UGANDA. The annual Senator Cultural Galas started last week with aim of celebrating the diverse cultures that exist in Uganda.

The cultural celebrations that will take place in atleast 40 districts of Uganda where they will compete and the best will be in a regional final before the best groups are chosen to compete at the National Finale.

The organisers hope to bring together various cultural groups from the grassroots and develop them to the competitive level. The galas are sponsored by the Uganda Breweries Limited brand Senator Extra larger, that has been part of the celebration for atleast 3years with this years' theme being "the true taste of our land."

"Our trainers and district cultural officers will take part in passing on the theme so that the competing groups can make sure their performances rhyme with the theme," says Haruna Walusimbi the Managing Director Nile Beat Artists, the organisers of the Senator cultural galas.
